What the 80-20 Rule of Health Looks Like… in real numbers!

Many of us think we look after our health about 80% of the time… but do you really?

I did some numbers and this is what living a true 80-20 healthy life looks like in numbers you can relate to!



  • You get 7hrs good sleep 25 days every month.

  • You eat whole real (non-processed) foods for 17 of your 21 meals each week.

  • You drink 1 or 0 alcoholic drinks 25 days every month.

  • You do strength training at least 7 times per month

  • You do 20-60min of 70%+ heart rate cardio training at least 7 times per month

  • You eat one processed, packaged or takeaway food less than 72 days per year.

  • You get out in the sun for at least 15minutes 6 days per week.

  • You stretch or do yoga at least 5 days per week

  • You drink 2 litres of water 6 days per week.

  • You walk 30min + or play a sport at least 7 days per month

  • You catch up with a friend and/or family at least once a week for 40 weeks a year.

  • You don’t eat after 7pm 25 days per month

  • You take antibiotics less than once every 2 years.

  • You take anti-inflammatory or acid reflux meds less than 4 times per year.

  • You eat gluten less than once every week.

  • Of your tooth paste, deodorant, moisturizer, shampoo, conditioner, sunscreen, make up, nail polish, hair product and shower gel/soap - ONLY TWO of them is NOT natural plant based chemical free!

  • Of your dish liquid, dishwasher detergent, hand soap, laundry detergent, softener, bathroom cleaner, kitchen cleaner, floor cleaner, window cleaner and general cleaner ONLY TWO of them is NOT natural plant based chemical free!
